hi i'm herbie and this is swizz panorama where my panorama pictures are displayed. swizz panorama - is part of swizz.net and displays panorama photos taken in switzerland and around the globe. swizz panorama is a showcase for panorama pictures taken with the special panorama camera of seitz phototechnik, the top model roundshot super 220vr. this precious piece of workmanship creates real panoramic pictures because the camera rotates during the shot around its own axis and exposes the simultaneously rotating film constantly through a slit behind the lens. this results in brilliant high quality panoramic photographies from extra wide slides of medium format film. this technique is especially suited to action or dynamic pictures with people or moving objects to show the real chronicle/story rather than stitching several intermittent plots/pictures together like it is done with modern digital camera equipment. the quality of the images is on top level however the camera needs a tripod because the complete equipment weighs about 15 kg. the very destinctive characteristic of these pictures is the the distortion towards closer objects as the lens is rotated and thus only a 0.8 mm slit of the lens is used. depending on the lenses used a 160 cm rollfilm (220) can cover from two to more than six (6) full 360 degrees rotations. swizz panorama - ist teil von swizz.net und zeigt panoramaaufnahmen von der schweiz und rund um den globus
